All 3 of us fished on the Dam fishing days only and for only 3 days we managed to catch over 50 fish biggest being 45lb. we had PB's all round and a very enjoyable time. Fantastic lake and great help from Christophe. Can't wait to get back. 10/10

First time to St Amand and we have had the time of our lives. We will be back. Christophe is the perfect host and couldn't have been more helpful with anything that we needed. We had a brilliant week of fishing with over 60 fish biggest being 50lb+ also 8 fish over 40lb. daizy caught her 1st ever carp at 31lb and then beat that with a 32lb carp on her last night. we are sad to be leaving.

What an amazing week. House is lovely, everything that you need. weather was just right, chilly mornings and hot afternoons with only 1 afternoon of rain. Christophe has made us all feel very welcome. He knows the lake and fish so well not forgetting the antics of Olly and Booba. An astounding 172 fish for 3932lb total weight. Will defo be back.

We have had the most wonderful week ! 2 families 1 dog, great fishing, a huge amount of wine and cheese. Our trip has been exceptional. A massive thank you to Christophe for making us feel so welcome. we will most certainly be back.

Another excellent weeks fishing despite being unusually cold and wet for mid June. 172 fish including a new lake record of 56lb. Many thanks to Christophe for great hospitality as always.

Arrived to 2 days of freezing conditions so had low expectations but we stuck at it and were rewarded despite the cold.
I started on the Dam and caught consistently from the margins. After a few days the weather changed and it was time to move to shallower water so moved to the Jetty. Once again the margins proved productive. Matt beat his PB of 25years (36lb) with a fish of 49lb and a total of 37 fish. I managed 35 fish to 46lb. Christophe was great.

Our 4th visit and overall we had a good catch rate with 4 over 40lb up to 49lb along with 17 30's and a load of 20's. The weather was very changeable. Friday swim produced the most consistently. Christophe looked after us really well as always. Food, wine and company was great as always.

We went for heavy baiting for the week which paid off with everyone catching one lad caught 25 fish including a 50.
Christophe fantastic host took great care of us crazy English boys. Brilliant time had by us all.

Cold nights, hot days
The weather (high pressure) meant that we had a tough week but it all came good in the last 2 days as wew ended up with 27 fish including Lake record 52lb8, 49lb, 48lb loads of upper 30’s also and a grassy. Thankyou Christophe

4 anglers for 6 nights
We caught 1 x 50, 5 x 40’s, 15 x 30’s and loads of 20’s we spread ourselves across the lake, used roughly 70KG of boilie. The fishing was brilliant, it started off a little slow as we brought bait that the fish weren’t use to eating. The bigger fish seemed to come out at night and early mornings. Christophe was a tope bloke & showed us any spots that were good for a bite. Will be back in the future.

Had a great time
We caught 72 fish in total 6 x 40’s to 48lb, 15 x 30’s and rest mainly 20’s.
Such a beautiful place, fishing was unreal and we will be back. Big thanks to Christophe, what a bloke.

3rd time back to st Amand
Over 100 fish between 3 of us including 5 x 40’s to 47lb and 10 x 30’s to 38lb with loads of fish over 20lb. absolute fantastic trip yet again. Christophe really dose make you feel welcome and more than happy to help with any problems you might have. We will definitely be back for a fourth time.

Great fishing, great house & above all great host.
Christophe has been fantastic. Nothing has been too much trouble and he knows the lake inside out. He and Booba add that something extra to this amazing set-up.
Fishing wise we were blown away as we never anticipated just how good carp fishing could be.
Fished 6 days only no nights, we caught a total of 121 carp between 2 of us the biggest was 45lb with 3 other40’s, 12 x 30’s, 52 x 20’s and the rest were doubles most of which were over 17lb.
All in min t condition, lots of pretty fish and they ball fought hard.

It didn’t disappoint. Christophe as usual is the most gracious host & along with Booba, together they make a great team. Nothing is ever too much trouble and we thank him for all his help.With very limited fishing time on the bank between 2 of us we banked 21 fish up to 39lb 10oz.All the fish were spawned out and in extremely good condition, a credit to the management. We spent days at Lac de Vassiviere which has a few lovely beaches where you can swim in the lake.
The Aquarium in Limoges is a fantastic visit as is the zoo. The market in Bourganeuf on Wednesday’s is a must visit. The bakers van on Tuesday’s is also a great treat.

Firstly would like to thank Christophe for all the help and advice this week…..nothing was too much trouble. Over 40 carp caught between 2 of us fishing evenings mainly the biggest weighing 44lb caught by Gary and I caught a 40lb fish also with at least 8 fish over 30lb between us up to 38lb so very happy. My advice would be 20mm boillie using stockings to protect the hook baits from poisson chats and cray fish also keep the bait going in the more bait we used the more action we had.

Came here with family on the recommendation of my brother, who's been 3 times. A really lovely and enjoyable week
had by all 6 of us. Comfortable and welcoming house. Christophe extends not only a warm welcome, but has provided a group of fairly novice anglers with a wealth of inside info and guidance on technique and approach to ensure an active and exciting week of fishing. All of us struck new PB's ranging from 31lb5 - 41lb 5.
I would love to come back here any time at all, we all recommend St Amand to anyone looking for a break that offers both relaxation and a real fishing challenge. 10/10 !

Our second visit here and although we didn't catch as many fish the quality was exceptional
we caught 7 fish over 40lb and a further 20 fish over 30lb countless 20's and a total of nearly 200 fish between the 5 of us using the lake boilies and as last year fished on basic rigs. Christophe great as always.

Amazing week, I'm not a carp angler but caught 57 fish 2x40,7x30 and 13 x 20 included a 14ib Koi and 24lb common (two tone). My partner on the Dam caught 74 fish biggest 37lb best fix 28lb common .Other 2 anglers fixed double peg caught over 50 fish both had 30's. Course fishing excellent tench,roach,rudd,perch,sun perch etc We had no nights or early mornings started between 8.30 and 9am and had 2 hours off mid day for dinner and break from fish everyday

Great rustic farmhouse with everything you need.With Christophe on site to guide you all the way from how to fish to fish welfare he really cares about these fish. Lake a great setting with stunning views and the stars at night are amazing. If you are a non angler and like to do nothing but read a book with a glass of wine then just up your street.

First fish of the week was caught on a float rod with 6lb line and a single grain of corn whilst targeting roach. Took over an hour to get in and turned out to be a 36lb carp! We caught another 4 30lb+ fish and dozens of 20-30lb-ers.
Apart from the first fish, all carp were caught on the boilies supplied on site. We tried lots of others but nothing else was successful.
The location and scenery was amazing the fishing was excellent and Christophe couldn't have been more helpful.

Had a brilliant week at St Amand the fishing was great, the house was immaculate and had every thing you could need from WiFi to English TV. Christophe who looks after the lake couldn't have been a nicer or more helpful bloke. Would recommend this venue to any one wanting to visit France
