A great week considering how hot it was. The fishing started off slow but made up for it by the end of the week. In total between 2 anglers they had: 12 x 40’s up tom 49lb, 8 x 30’s and some 20’s.

This was 2 families meeting up together and doing a bit of fishing. The weather was very hot.
They had 14 fish with fish of 52, 46, 44, 43, 37, 33 and rest 20’s.

This week was 1 of our regulars who was having a social with friends 2 anglers and 2 non anglers.
The week was very warm and the fishing was quite tough. They ended up moving around trying to make opportunities and finished the week with 20 carp including a PB mirror of 53lb and a 46 to back that up with lots of 30’s.

Good weeks fishing despite the cold weather which saw snow halfway through the week.
Caught fish 0f 52, 51, 48, 46, 44, 40 and lots of 30’s & 20’s.

Frosty mornings however managed to catch fish of 52, 51, 47, 46, 46, 42, 42 aswell as a load of high 30's All had PB's with 2 of the anglers catching 50lb+ fish.

After 2 postponements due to COVID one Charlie who is 1 of our regulars finally made it back with his family he spent every day out and about visiting Vassiviere, Limoges and all the local towns with the family and only managed to fished a few hours each morning he was there for 2 weeks.
He still managed to catch 6 x 40's biggest was 44lb+, 15x 30's, 25 x 20's

Another incredible week despite some very warm temperatures towards the end of the week. A total of 105 carp between 3 anglers.
Biggest fish 54lb10 along with fish of 47lb+ along with 3 other 40lb+ fish loads of 30's and a great average.

2 anglers and so far as they are only 4 days into their session and have caught a 53, 48,46,44 and a load of 30lb+ fish we will update you at the end of the session.

1 angler managed 52 carp including 46, 46, 44, 42 along with 7 x 30's up to 39lb and the rest were mainly 20's. 1st time in France and what a session smashing his previous PB of 31lb about 10 times over the course of the week.

3 anglers fishing only for half of the week and days only managed to catch PB's and over 50 fish between them including fish of 45lb, 44lb, 39lb and lots of other 30's and 20's. Great action.

Daizy & Elliot had a brilliant week they caught 1 x50lb+, 8x40lb+, 30x 30lb+, and 32 x 20's/doubles both of them beating their PB's

2 couples with 2 anglers fishing days only had an incredible weeks fishing with a total of 172 fish for 3932 lb that's nearly 2 tonnes of carp ! WOW This included 8 x 40lb+, 31x 30lb +, 61x 20lb+ and the rest doubles.

Charlie & Co had some great fishing over 2 weeks. They were fishing just days and not every day as they did family stuff on some days..
Just waiting for their catch report which I've been promised will come in the next few days.

Laurence, Simon and Adrian had an excellent week despite it being unusually cold and wet they caught a total of 172 fish with 7 over 40lb.
The biggest fish is a new lake record of 56lb so well done.

Father and son Andrew & Michael had a great week with Andrew catching a total of 33 fish including 4 over 40lb and 5 over 30lb up to 45lb whilst Michael caught 3 over 40lb and 15 over 30lb up to 43lb.

Surprisingly cold conditions for the 1st few days the 3 lads stuck it out and were rewarded.
Matt managed to beat his PB of 25 years (35lb10oz) on his 2nd day with a fish of 36lb and went on to bank a 49lb3oz fish.
Matt alone managed to bank a total of 37 fish. He started fishing on the Dam and after a few days decided to move to the shallows where he caught more fish so good angling and just reward for his efforts. Chris had 35 carp up to 46lb9oz. All in all the lads had a great week banking a total of 6 fish over 40lb.

This groups 4th visit to St Amand they had a good catch rate considering the weather was very changeable. They ended up with 59 fish between 4 anglers fishing days only.
Including 4 x 40’s to 49lb

Great weeks fishing with 72 carp between 2 anglers. The biggest went 48lb 12oz with 2 other fish over 40lb a 23lb Grassy and a 16lb Koi.

Chris loves Saint Amand and is another regular who had a great weeks fishing, he had great weather and even though he was fishing on his own he was joined by his brother and family who came to visit as they live in France. Chris ended up with 33 carp including 4 fish over 40lb with the biggest weighing 46lb in the form of the infamous Brown fish. Well done Chris and what a fish he backed the 40’s up with 8 fish over 30 and a load over 20lb so great action.

Another of our many regulars Nick came with his friend Carl and they both brought their fathers with them.
In their own words they had another brilliant week fishing days only and not even getting started early as they had a bit too much good wine to drink each evening. They had thunder and hailstorms On the Monday & Tuesday then the rest of the week was warm with sun and cloud.
They ended up catching a total of 83 fish between them with 7 fish over 40lb the biggest went 46lb, 18 fish over 30lb and loads of fish over 20lb with some doubles to bump up the tally of fish.

A big thanks to John and Matt who did our film for us several years ago and agreed to come back and do a new film as the fish had grown so much since the last time they were here. They ended up fishing for about 4 days and managed to get some great footage and fantastic pictures for us. They were pleasantly surprised by the growth rates of the fish with much bigger averages than they had a few years back. Matt caught Floppy tail which he had caught on his 1st trip at just over 40lb this time she weighed over 49lb and John had the Italian at 46lb they had many good 30’s I believe matt had about 10 x 30’s and John had several good 30’s also as you’ll see when the new film is available shortly.

This information has only just come through to us but it’s clear that the carp have woken up at Saint Amand Leisure.
As one of our clients has just told us about his week in April which had some amazing captures, although confronted with extremely changeable weather, he and his father were able to catch over 65 fish, 6 of which were over the 40 lbs mark, with 2 of those being over 45lbs. Although they did have a couple of slow days when the fish fed they fed well. With them catching 13 over 30lbs and 22 over 20lbs, with many of those being over 25lbs. All caught on Premier Baits Saint Amand mix boilies. Chris actually thought the lake fished quite hard this time around (His 6th visit to us) but as usual he has already booked for later this year. Well done Chris on your great captures, look forward to seeing you soon, with only a few weeks left this year we are close to fully booked again!

St Amand Leisure's 1st 50 lb'er was caught by Lee at the end of March 2018 whilst visiting for a few days with his daughter Soraya. After 2 days of rain they decided to brave the elements and they were pleased that they did, because within an hour of casting out they both found themselves holding 2 of St Amand's finest. Soraya who is only 15 opened her account with a fish of 49 lb+ whilst Lee not to be out done caught a new lake record of 50 lb 10 oz.. They also caught a number of other fish topped by a 37lb fish for Soraya caught fish of 44 lb, 41 lb for Lee followed by numerous other fish including a few good 30's.
